This article delineates a comprehensive five-pillar review process of the Human Resource Management (HRM) curriculum at SUNY Oswego’s School of Business, aimed at ensuring curriculum relevance, alignment with industry standards, and the preparation of competent and ethical professionals. The review process incorporated multiple perspectives through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) alignment analysis, benchmarking against competitive schools, critical analysis by a Program Advisory Group (PAG), input from student leadership, and feedback from faculty. Inspired by the 360-degree feedback and balanced scorecard concepts, this multifaceted approach underscored the importance of diverse stakeholder insights in curriculum evaluation. The findings highlighted strengths in the current curriculum and identified areas for enhancement, particularly in integrating data analytics and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) throughout the coursework. The outcomes of this review process affirm the curriculum’s alignment with industry requirements and SUNY Oswego School of Business mission, and its efficacy in preparing students for successful HR careers.
